Proton-Proton And Antiproton-Proton Interaction In QCD Inspired Model

Hadron-hadron interaction is one of important issues of strong interactions physics, Various models have been proposed to describe the issue for a long time. A microscopic understanding of hadron-hadron scattering remains an elusive goal of quark gluon structure of hadron, and offers an opportunity to search for new physics and new particles. We begin with a brief introduction to the strong interaction-QCD and QCD inspired model, and then defines the scattering amplitudes in the framework of impact parameter representation of scattering amplitude which determine the cross section, and all other measured physical quantities. At last, Based on the quark-gluon contents of nucleon and the possible exchange of Odderon in nucleon interaction, the pp and p|-p elastic scattering at high energies are studied in the QCD Inspired Model. Our theoretical predictions reproduce experimental data perfectly. The contributions from individual terms of quark-quark, gluon-gluon interactions, quark-gluon interference and the Odderon terms to total cross sectionσ_tot, the ratio of the real to the imaginary part of forward scattering amplitudeρ, and the nuclear slope parameterβare analyzed. Our results show that in addition to the leading quark-quark contribution, the gluon-gluon interaction and Odderon term make an important contribution to the pp and p|-p elastic scattering. Therefore, the two terms must be considered in any theoretical understanding of hadron-hadron interacting processes at high energy region. Since the results also show that the Odderon plays an essential role in fitting to data, we claim that the high energy pp and p|-p elastic scattering can be a good tool to search for the existence of the Odderon, the three Reggeized gluon colorless bound state, and can be used to test the QCD.
