Dendrochronology is the science that deals with the dating and study of annual growth layers in wood. Since tree rings provide not only a method of dating, but also widespread, well-replicated, and dated proxy data for past environmental changes. This text takes the Tugai advantage forests species along the Tarim river as research object, takes the theories of tree annual rings as a foundation, and studies the factors of the influence annual rings growth from the both sides respectively. One is environmental factors, including Runoff of water, temperature, geography, plant diseases and insect pests and so on. Another is activities of mankind, including the artificial changes the way of the river and the economic activities of mankind.The results indicate that the ample humidity has decisive function to the tree growth, so water is a major factor for populus euphratica grouth, but the temperature, geography, plant diseases and insect pests is the influence factor that can't be neglected for the living of Populus euphratica. In the partial region, because the control factor for the growing of trees is different, and also result in difference between the annual rings sequences. The result still expresses that the influence of the environment that activities of mankind can have good respond to annual rings width variety. Therefore, it has important meaning that we understand fully relation between the tree annual rings variety and factors of environment and artificial factors, that we acquire the information of the environment factors from the annual rings width variety and Study the relation of the tree growth. There are meaning of instruction for management, protection and making use of natural Tugai forests.Because there are many factors influences the tree annual rings, in order to reduce the indetermination in the research of the tree annual rings. The research that characteristics to be synthesized about tree annual rings responds to environment variety will be strengthen in the future. Hope to speed the development of this realm.
