Ground deformation is a serious geological disaster, which not only make entironment worsen, but also hamper urbanization and sustained development of social economy. As a high-tech, remote sensing is characterized by macroscopic, objectivity and plentiful information, the geological disaster is surveyed by remote sensing , which has unexampled advantage than traditional techniques, and it can be used in the process as monitor, forecast and evaluate of geological disaster. With Tangshan city as an the region of interest, this paper set up remote sensing interpretation key of disaster information by using multi-platform, multi-temporal data, based on analysis spectrum feature, terrain knowledge and image feature, through enhancement process, applying human-computer interaction interpretation, and exacted information of ground deformation. Major achievements were as follows:(1) Regional geological minerals feature, minerals planning, mine environment, the cause of ground deformation were deeply studied, which established a foundation of remote sensing information exaction deeply.(2) Multi-platform, multi-temporal data were processed and analyzed by adopting various data processing methods, meanwhile, with nature color transform in SPOT data, a false color image near to the world was got.(3) Based on spectrum feature, terrain knowledge and data feature, set up interpretation key of ground deformation, through enhancement transformation, applying human-computer interaction interpretation, 11 zones of ground deformation including 26 plashes and 180 earth fissures were exacted.(4) By field checking of remote sensing interpretation adopting a method combined with point, line and region, the veracity is 90%. Feasibility and veracity were proved.
