The bulk of this thesis describes a theoretical study of the spin splitting that takes place in the electronic band structure of semiconductor hetero structures when a source of inversion asymmetry is present due to the breakdown of the conditions for Kramers degeneracy. In particular, this work focuses on the effect in the bands of hetero structures of two different sources of asymmetry; namely, structural inversion asymmetry (SIA) and bulk inversion asymmetry (BIA). In particular, these effects are studied in structures built from materials belonging to the so-called 6.1 A system: AlSb, GaSb and InAs. The splitting of the conduction subbands when the sequence of the layers making a hetero structure is not symmetric (SIA) is called the Rashba effect.Since Datta and Das provided the concept that can use the effect of spin-orbit interaction on electrons to make FET based on spin, spintronics studies have employed spin-orbit interaction in semi-conductor. The energy structure in 2DEG in presence of the effect of Rashba spin-orbit coupling interaction has been studied in this thesis. Firstly we have reviewed the progress of spin-orbit interaction in spintronics and then introduced our work in this realm and the problem existed including the energy in special potential(circle potential well).1. Chapterâ… this chapter has mainly described the properties in 2DEG.this is fundamental and has been studied by others successfully in details. Because low dimensional semiconductor devices measurement in 2DEG must some confined or based on electronic and magnetic field, this preparation is necessary2. Chapterâ…¡we discus the spin-orbit coupling. We must describes the effect clearly because our studies system existed the effect3. Chapterâ…¢We studied the transport dependent on spin orbit coupling. Discussion in spin transport is prevalent. We have analyses 2DEG transport.4. Chapterâ…£The energy and the shrodinger equation has been studied. Our work emphasis the parabolic potential.5. Chapterâ…¤There is some problem which should be studied in spintronics and some conception about spin which should be developed and be studied further more.
