Since Prof. J S Lee has discovered Quaternary glacial remnants in Taihang Mountains in 1920s, so far Quaternary glacial investigation in China have a near 80-year history. There has been controversy around that weather there are Quaternary glacier at the Eastern China or not. Lushan is a representative of Quaternary glacier in the Eastern China. To confirm former glacier of the Lushan is the best tangent point to resolve the problem of Quaternary glacier in the Eastern China. It is important to reconstruct glacial condition and exploration of climate evolvement.Through integrated analysis of sections of early drill (ZK503, ZK21-4)and natural sections of Dapailing, Yejialong, Baishizui, Yangjiaoling, Daxiaochang and so on. Researches have dividen the stratum of Lushan into 10 layers by combination of lithostratigraphy, paleomannetism, sporo-pollen and transformation of climate. There are postglacial period strata, Lulin glaciation strata, Lushan-Lulin interglacial period strata, Lushan Glaciation strata, Lushan-Dagu interglacial period strata, Dagu glaciation strata, Poyang-Dagu interglacial period strata, Poyang glaciation strata, Dapai-Poyang interglacial period strata and Dapai glaciation strata.The researches have been used experiment of acoustic emission of stress to measure the vertical stress of overlying glacier bed that the glacial memorized and to judge the cause of formation in Lushan. We test the gravel from the Yuzhu peak in the east of Kunlun Mountains (existing glacier) and the pass area of the east Kunlun Mountains(glacial gravel without genesis argument), and calculate the average value of the memory stress is 1.07 MPa and 1.03 MPa respectively. As the result of that the gravel memory stress in Lushan(Guanyinqiao, Baishizui, Yangjiaoling, Daxiaochang etc.) is about 1 MPa, the gravel of Lunshan is glacial deposit. Furthermore, we sampled gravel which are from each Quaternary glacier and use the measures of ESR and 36Cl to test the age of gravel in Lushan. The data is consistent with the time-period of the magnetostratigraphic dating. According to that, we divided the each Quaternary glaciation in Lushan, make sure space-time position of the glaciation, analyze the Quaternary environmental evolvement and representative glacial remnants...
