In the well drilling process, the invasion of mud and filtrate is inevitable. It has great effcet on log information and evaluation. At the same time, the series of characteristics caused by invasion provide abundant of information for logging interpretation and other geologic applications. Invade radius is key to descrip the characteristic of mud filtrate invasion quantitively. According to the study of invasion radius, it could be analyse the mud filtrate invasion character and its influnce on logging response, divide permeable strata, confirme the situation of fluid displacement in invaded area and reservoir pollution, identify the fluid property, and also guide casing perforation project. Comparing to conventional resistivity log, the high resolution array induction logging has higher resolution and deeper invertigation. So it could confirm uninvaded formation resistivity, flushed zone resistivity and invasion radius, and also provide reliable geologic parameters for reservoir description and evaluation. The application of high resolution array induction logging in Shengli Oil-field is still at beginning stage. The research of its application must be going on.
