The Periodic Solution And Its Stability For An Impact Oscillator

The periodic motion is considered for an impact oscillator with damping.Based on the phase plane analysis, the behavior of the periodic motionis clear for an impact oscillator without damping and external forcing.Then by the method of disturbation, we present some results on thenonexistence of the periodic solution for small forcing and damping.Finally, by a shooting metod, we study numerically the existence andstability for the the periodic solution.
