Employment Market Analysis Of GIS Major

The employment of college graduates not only relates to personal future and the realization of personal value, but also relates to the social economic development and social stability. In the last few years, the GIS education has made great achievement in China. But because of its short history and the fierce situation in the employment of society, so this has been the foal of the society constantly. In the new situation,that how to solve the employment problem of college graduates has become an important issue to some departments of the government,colleges and universities and graduates. In order to know the developing tendency which the current GIS graduates get employment,then, on the basis of literature searching ,questionnaire and comparison research methods on this issue and considering the current obtaining employment condition of colleges and universities graduates in China and the problems in the construction of college education,this article,from perspective of integration, in the foundation of investigated data which is analyzed by statistical analysis,fully comprehending the obtaining employment consolations of graduates and researching the concerning documents, in the method of combining investigating,analyzing and comparing together by investigating and visiting some functioning departments of government,colleges and universities,companies and enterprises and the individual graduates. Analyzed the employment difficulty of current GIS graduates, and promulgated the reasons which causing GIS graduates get employment difficultly from several factors. The results shown, the graduate employment is affected by social environment, school education and family education as well as personal factors, the unemployment leads to a fake saturation of graduates. This article suggests some countermeasures in several aspects which improving the integrative quality of GIS education undergraduates, transforming the employment idea of GIS undergraduates to meet to the society development, expecting some help for GIS education undergraduates.
