Researches on secondary metabolite produced by marinemicroorganism are becoming popular. Alkaloid, one kind of secondarymetabolite, is gaining more and more attention because of its specialstructure, various kinds and good application potential. Researches onalkaloid metabolism modulation of marine fungi have not beenreported.Different elicitors were used to elicit 3 marine fungi which hadshowed high inhibition activity to study the effect of different elicitors onalkaloid metabolism of them. For the further,co-culture was used as aeliciting method to treat marine fungi,just to study the effect of co-cultureon alkaloid metabolism and growth of them.Elicitors used in our experiment included marine bacterium-originelicitors, marine fungus-origin elicitors, amino acid as precursors andinhibitors. Marine bacterium-origin elicitors,which had not been reportedyet, were studied for the first time. The results show that the first 3elicitors can inhance the alkaloid accumulation of 3 tested marine fungiwith proper kind and addition concentration, while inhibitors can reduce the alkaloid accumulation.Alkaloid accumulation of Z15 can be enhancedby 44.1%by marine bacterium-origin elicitor 1 with an additionconcentration of 10μg/mL.Under the conditon of co-culture, growth and metabolism of marinefungus and actinomycete change apparently. Growth peak and occurringtime of active metabolite advance greatly and inhibition activity offermentation liquid improve much. Alkaloid accumulation of marinefungus can be inhanced conspicuously when the fungus is co-culturedwith marine bacterium. Alkaloid accumulation of YUP08 can be enhancedby 119.7%when it is co-cultured with marine bacterium BBy9-4 with aninoculation concentration of 10%.
