TalaHaxi Area is located at the northern slope of the centraldepression in Songliao Basin. The integrated reservoir assessment isfocused on such peripheral exploration & development blocks. Suchblocks are characteristic with multiple oil-bearing formations and highproductive in single well. Structure of the Area is concentrated in thesmall-scale anticline, the nose fault and the block fault controlled by thesmall fault. Each type of the reservoir sandstone based on delta frontsedimentary system is thin and with rapid difference at lateral direction.Low coincidence of vertical congruence at different formation andnon-good connection caused the difficulties to confirm the reservoir sizeand forming discipline, which restricts the implementation of theintegratedexplorationanddevelopmentworkatthisarea.Putaohua oil layer is chosen as the typical one to carry out the study. The accurate calibration of the seismo-geological horizon, with detailedstructural interpretation of the high-resolution seismic data, implementingthe vertical profile and horizon-slice interpretation combined with 3Dvisualization technique, integrating such techniques as map analyses, coherent volume and spectra decomposition, the detailed interpretation of3D high-resolution seismic data was fulfilled in Talahaxi Area. A large quantities of fault low amplitude structure, small fault block and nose faultwere found in the area, which provides the reliable basic data for furtherstudy of reservoir generation principle, potential drilling target as well asrollingdevelopment. In consideration of the forecasting difficulties towards the thinPutaohua oil layer in this area, based on rock-volume model, theconversion technique of pseudo sonic curves using lithologic logging datawas summarized and proposed. Wyllie time averaged equation played itsrole during the conversion. The converted pseudo sonic data is rich in itsgeophysical meaning and basically solving the problem that seismicinversionandreservoirquantitativeforecastwererestrictedbytheshortageof logging data in Talahaxi area. Based on that, the obtaining ofcharacteristic feature of seismic inversion and pseudo sonic curvesconversion were completed. On condition of pseudo sonic curves toseismic conversion, the seismic conversion and reservoir quantitativeforecast for Putaohua oil layer is fulfilled, which effectively solve thedifficulties for reservoir inversion in Putaohua oil layer. All necessarydocuments & maps were generated from the course. More applicable areaforseismicinversionandreservoirexpectationwasdevelopedwidely.
