Abstract: For the 2-affinization matrix A ( l + 2)×( l+ 2) given by the l×l Cartan matrix of BC type, we define the corresponding quantized generalized intersection matrix (GIM) algebra U q. We prove for each 1≤i≤l+ 2 there exists automorphism T i of U q, and obtain some basic results on these automorphisms. These results generalize Lusztig symmetry theory of classical quantum groups and quantized GIM algebras of ADE type.
