The spatial coordinates system of geographic information mainly contains reference ellipsoid, geodetic coordinate system, altitude datum, map projection, etc. It appears that nowadays there are many kinds of coordinates systems existent for geographic information. The integration process of spatial coordinates system for geographic information is the foundation of making full and effective use of information source, sharing geographic information data, and constructing global-oriented geospatial information support system. It is also the exigent demand for military surveying and mapping, which is preparing for informationization battle, to realize real-time and correct capture, process and application of multi-source geographic information.Based on the actual requirements of multi-source battlefield information merging, data sharing, mutual operation of systems, this paper contains the following contents:1. A brief analysis on the actuality of spatial coordinates system for geographic information in our country and the circumjacent countries or regions.2. Conversion of spatial data formats. For different types and formats of spatial data, in this paper, we realize the identification, input and output of the common used vector map data, satellite remote sensing images and DEM data.3. Coordinate conversion of spatial data. By analyzing the correlative theories and technologies on coordinate conversion of geographic data, we mainly focus on the methods and models of the conversion of geodetic coordinates system and map projection coordinates system for geographic information.4. The Design of spatial coordinates system for geographic information integration, including the overall framework, function buildup and information flow of the system. Furthermore, we design the inner data structure of the system in detail.5. The Design of the interface of customized development. After an analysis, we select C++ DLL as the interface of customized development, which provides flexible functions forcoordinate conversion of geographic information to users.
