Initial Study The Function Of BRCAA1 Gene And Protein

Brcaa1 is a new discovered gene and has been identified with high expression in breast cancer and gastric cancer, which has no expression in normal tissues. There are 1226 amino acids shared by BRCAA1 and retinoblastoma binding protein. The study showed in MCF-7 cells that retinoblastoma protein rose when brcaa1 gene had been declined by RNA interference. The brcaa1 might involve in tumor treatment. So it is necessary to study this gene in-depth. The work include as following:1. The expression of BRCAA1 protein has been studied in varied kind of cancers include breast cancer, gastric cancer, lung cancer, lymph tumor, hypothyroid cancer, cervical cancer, intestine cancer, bladder cancer, pancreas cancer and prostate cancer. We found that BRCAA1 highly expressed in all kind of tumor tissues, which we had investigated, and have significant relationship with pathological grading in gastric cancer tissues. The relationship between BRCAA1 expression and the size of post-surgical residues has been discovered in breast cancer tissues.2. brcaa1 gene has been shutdown in human MGC80-3 cell with RNAi by dendrimer.
