Resource Prediction And Appraisal Of Gold Deposits Based On MORPAS In Western Qinling

Western Qinling is located at boundary of the North China plate and the Yangtze Plate.,where the strata are well exposed, the metamorphism and magmatic is widely developed. It is the primary part of Qinling mineralization belt because of all kinds of rich mineral and also an important part of'golden triangle'of Shanxi, Sichuan and Gansu. Controlling ore-forming factors of gold deposits in the western Qinling Mountains are influenced and restricted by many factors. Geologists did many researches on the regional geological background,the metallogenic regularity ,the gold deposit type and division of gold deposit in the Western Qinling.The paper is based on national large database by data-processing treatment. It consult a lot of geological data and establish detailed geodatabase in Western Qinling area. Then use the information calculation method in the software MORPAS 3.0 to make mineralization prediction mainly according to three aspects prospecting mark :structure, deposition and magma activities.The guiding ideology of Information-theoretic method is to divide research area into several unit grids, then to study the distribution of the prospecting criteria to explore the indicator significance of all kinds of marks. The information summation reflects the relative indicator significance of the gird. The prediction processes of Information-theoretic method are : first ,choose the prospecting mark preliminary through the analysis on the geological information ;second, use the information calculating method of software MORPAS 3.0 to select all kinds of prospecting mark prudently; then sort the prospecting mark according to the value of the information and choose the higher value information mark for prospecting prediction. At last generate colour blocks maps , contour maps and prospecting potential maps.Recent research results show that: higher information formation marks, magmatic rock marks and fault marks are not only have the better anastomosis on geological information, but also quantify the prospecting indicator significance. Research results further dig the geological mark which is is considered not good at primary selection , but in total , target is achieved.Prospecting potential area is divided into Class A ,B,C according to metallogenic condition,the distribution of the gold ore deposit, prospecting potential believable degree,direct and indirect sign of mineralization,geological research degree, statistic result of information.
