The Methodology Sense Of Kuhn's Paradigm Theory

In the early 1960's, the science philosopher of the United States Thomas Kuhn published his doctoral thesis on "The Structure of Scientific Revolution". In the book, he proposes the basic viewpoints of the paradigm theory: The science is not continuous process or progressive accumulation process, but the result is the intermittent conversion between paradigms; there exists some incommensurability between paradigms. The so-called scientific revolution is the paradigm changes and the transformations of concept. After the paradigm theory, the hegemonic status of scientific theory was shaken, and the paradigm theory gradually becomes powerful weapons of the post-modern theory criticizing the modern theory. Because Kuhn has proved that the paradigm is a consensus of the value,the faith and the methodology in the book "The Structure of Scientific Revolution", the substance of a science "paradigm" can be regarded as a worldview or a methodology.In this paper, on the basis of organizing the Kuhn's paradigm theory, the author gives a deep understanding and grasp about the concept of paradigm, the background of the paradigm theory, the basic content and characteristics of the paradigm theory and the scientific model of the paradigm, and proposes the methodology inspiration of the turnover of the paradigm theory. Based on this, we discuss the use of the scientific development mode of the paradigm theory in the economics reflects the change of . economic paradigm in the theory of economics; the controversy that the application of paradigm theory in the psychology has caused; the application of paradigm theory in the development philosophy and literary theory reflects the specific emphasis of the development process and the practical shape of the arts.By examining the impact and applications of the paradigm theory in the scientific theory, we can be sure of the methodology sense of the paradigm theory. Kuhn's paradigm theory has not only changed the traditional concept of the scientific theory, and has had a significant impact to the science philosophy, the more important is that and has had a significant impact to the science philosophy, the more important is that it provides a new research methods and research perspective for the other scientific research, and changes the examining perspective for a large number studies of natural, science and social science.
