Based on the present research status of the problem dealt with circumferential flow in the domestic and overseas and the summarization about the way of numerical simulation, this thesis takes a PVC tube as the material to imitate the submarine pipeline. The parameters of the flow field and pressure were measured by the high accuracy instrument ADV and the high accuracy pressures sensor of point type, which included the perpendicular instantaneous speeds along water depth in seven cross sections near the submarine pipeline with five different clearance ratio, and hydrodynamic pressures of twelve points around the pipeline. On the basics of experimental research, the turbulent intensity and Reynolds stress under different coming flow velocity and clearance ratio condition were analyzed, the changes of perpendicular speed of different crossing sections, the perpendicular distributions of the turbulent intensity, and Reynolds stress in the influenced zone are specially studied. A theoretic foundation will be established for further studying the submarine pipeline erosion and protection technique. Finally, the basics theoretic studies about the erosion of submarine pipeline and protection engineering in the future are suggested.
