Recently sand-sliding slope hazards, as one of mountain hazards, have gradually been taken into special attention. The characteristics of long-duration and severity which Sand-sliding slope hazards endanger mountain road and railway and other construction of civil facilities is not inferior to landslide and other geological hazards. The paper applies the method of the combination of experiment and theory analysis to analyze the formative mechanism and study the mechanism of controlling sand-sliding slope with grouting technology based on the S&T projects of traffic construction in China's West, MOC: "Research of landslide prediction and control technology" (200131879257) and the S&T projects of traffic construction in the transportation department of Tibet: "Research of formative mechanism and control on sand-sliding slope in Zhongba section along Sichuan-Tibet highway". Main conclusion as followings:1. Formative mechanism condition of sand-sliding slope and the inducible factors of sand-sliding are analyzed. Statistical theory is applied to analyze two factors (grain size and water content) which influent the angle of repose of the sand-sliding slope. It can conclude that both factors influent the angle of repose greatly and the influent degree of water content is greater than grain size based on mass experimental data. Besides, lined fitting is applied to four factors(grain size,water content,angle of friction and cohesion) which influent the angle of repose of sand-sliding slope and the formula can evaluate the angle of repose of the sand-sliding slope.2. Related mechanics principle is applied to deduce the sliding critical condition and rolling condition of sand grains. Regarding dry sand flow as continuous media, deduce dynamics and resistance equation of dry sand flow along normal and vertical slope and moment resistance equation rolling central point of sand. Then it is deduced that distribution equation of vertical flow velocity,bottom velocity equation and superficial velocity equation of dry sand flow under the condition of uniform velocity.3. Seepage mechanism is applied to deduce two kinds of osmotic grouting model (plane radial flow and ball-type centripetal flow). Security grade basic working condition and reliability index of grouting on sand-fixed is proposed. And formulize reliability analysis of grouting on sand-fixed combining engineering cases.4. The mechanism of sand-fixed of grouting engineering and sand-fixed of biological engineering is described. And control of sand-sliding slope is carried out in two stages: in the first stage, carried out civil engineering; in the second stage, carried out biological engineering after stopping sand sliding.
