Theories just like coal-bed methane geology, natural gas geology, coal geology tectonics geology , and geo-history were synthetically used and means were used by well drilling, logging, geologic controlling, analysis of rock core, manufacturing along with various experimental analysis to analysis the occurrence conditions of Huanghebei coalfield and adjacent region.The organic facies are researched in the region, the result indicated: coal rock is mainly the better hydrocarbon source rock and has better latent capacity of producing oil and gas.Feature of reservoir was analyzed, the result indicated: from south to north of along qiguang fault, the depth of coal bed augments inch by inch; the coal bed thickness accretes at first and then decreases until steady. In the six exploration area of Huanghebei coalfield, all kinds of coal are included, but in the vast north of Huanghebei coalfield and the adjacent Yanggu-Chiping coal field mainly consist of QM and QFM. Coal reservoir heterogeneity also taper from south to north of along Qiguang fault. The coal bed has better capacity of storing gas. Coal seam gas content accrete from south to north of along Qi-Guang fault, even in the north of the area coal seam gas content extent or exceed the standard of exploration.Coal bed thickness, composition and macro-alteration, and the affection of coal rank to coal seam gas content were expounded. Also, the affection of capping formation, hydrologic geology conditions, tectonic setting, magmatic rock, effective thickness of overlaying formation to the store of coal seam gas were researched.Electoral district and actual certification were done in the region of interest, thereby confirm the deep of Huanghebei coalfield and the north of this area as the target area of exploratory development in the future.
