There are some characters such as shallower burial,bigger pressure,better reservoir,fitter channel and higher maturity of the research on the Xin Chang gas field, which is naturally laboratorial location on researching of the relationship of geochemical characteristics and field. In this paper, by the way of geochemical exploration to research geochemical characteristics on the surface above the Xin Chang gas field ,it is important to analyse the sources of geochemical abnormity and establish the Migration Model of trace elements above the Xin Chang gas field.The text quotes the geogas methods,and there are 49 nanometer trace elements detected in gas samples. Based on the analysis of organic geochemical characteristics, Inorganic geochemical exploration methods and nano-geochemical exploration methods were adopt to research geochemistry on the surface above the Xin Chang gas field,and it is discovered there is abnormity of trace element ,for example , Cu,Zn,Ni,V,Fe2O3,Ba,W,Sb,Ag,Y,Zr,La and Ba,Sr,Ti,Cu,Zn,Ni,Al,P,La series (except Pm),Y,Co,W,Ag,Nb,Tl ect, showing the top effects and chimney effects,which is important to indicate gas reservoir. By combinating the information of drill well chemistry and cap seal,it is revealed that the gas leak exists actually on the Xin Chang gas field, and discussed the influence of gas on trace element and nanometer trace elements,and assembled valid index of elements, and discussed element migration mechanism,and established and perfected the model of trace element migration above the Xin Chang gas field.Geochemical abnormity on the surface above the Xin Chang gas field and the Xin Chang gas field has certain relationship,which is the result of certain geologic condition. Inorganic geochemical exploration methods and nano-geochemical exploration methods may be valid methods for forecasting gas reservoir. It hopes that two exploration methods should be continually enhanced and supported in theory and practice for the future.
