| Village is the most original inhabitancy of human beings and the place earlist to show civilization form, the developing history of human beings is also the villages'. In the developing countries such as China, the rural issue is the country's fundamental problems. In October 2005 the Fifth Plenum of the 16th proposed building a new socialist countryside, in 2006 the Chinese government has listed this one of the key tasks. As social and economic development, many problem are appearing, such as: undefined village system and confused site layout of the village system, delayed site layout construction of the foundation facilities and social service facilities in rural area, all these are indicating that it is the time to begin village layout planning. On the basis of the request of times, this article analysed the status quo and the cause of the distribution of villages in study area with the basic data extracted from remote sensing images using a series of quantitative methods, put forward an system for status quo analysis, and then design a village site layout planning model.Among the main elements include:1. Extracting basic data such as: the landuse types image was distilled through the maximum likelihood method from 1:12500 aerial remote sensing images with GPS-point supportting, the elevation, slope, aspect, and other terrain information were extracted from the 1:100,000 topographic maps based on the RS and GIS technology.2. Analysing the status quo of the village distribution using a series of quantitative method: Point Patterns Analysis was used to analyse the spatial distribution pattern of villages in study area of different scale, and the radius of farming area was put forward. The fractal research was used to analyse villages architecture system with information dimension and Zipf dimension, the distribution characteristics and function of the hierarchical structure were analyzed and summarized. The correlation analysis method and buffer analys were used to discusse the correlation between villages distribution and their influencing factors. The distribution characteristics of the status quo are: big settlement, small diaspora, small scale, dispersed population some system-level structure which need more obvious hierarchical structure and more strength function, natural and the socio-economic factors affected villages distribution together.3. On the basis of the status quo analysis, building a villages evaluation index system, which include natural and geographical conditions indicators such as elevation, slope, and the distance between the rivers, roads and the villages and socio-economic indicators such as the distance between the neighboring towns, villages and the villages, the population size, infrastructure situation, etc. Principal component analysis was used to evaluate the ranking and suitability of every village.4. Constructing a village layout planning using C++ object-oriented model, preparing different options under different constraint conditions. The results of the merging planning improve the village distribution problems such as small scale and dense distribution in study area. Then the result is visualized, its inquiry and revision is enabled in ArcGIS. |
