Based on summing-up geological characteristics, ore-forming disciplinarian, and ore-prospecting indicators in the Dashui gold deposit, a mathematic model-weighted characteristic analysis is exercised in the quantitative prediction of ore - prospecting targets for gold ore in Dashui gold deposit at first time. Further ore-prospecting direction is given. The quantitative prediction method of ore-prospecting targets is researched. Better ore-prospecting effect is made.The Dashui gold deposit is one of large diorite-type gold deposits in China. At present, in order to make once more breakthrough of ore-prospecting work in deeper and exterior area of Dashui gold deposit, effective ore-prospecting forecast methods are needed urgently. Through the field observation in detail and indoor generalized analysis, a typical mineralization model of Dashui diorite-type gold deposit is shown, which is composed by three parts - the fault structure of near North-South direction and North-West-West direction, the diorite body (apophysis and dike), the gold ore deposit (ore body).Then, eight important indicators of ore-generating- prospecting model of Dashui gold deposit and ore bodies are summarized, which are diorite (apophysis, dike), intensely alterated and the mineralized diorite, the strongly alterated crushed zone, the fault structure development, the marblization and recrystallized limestone, the jasperoid-silicification development, the intensly carbonatization, the intense ferritization - hematitization, all of them constitute eight statistical variables of mathematical model for the quantitative prediction of ore-prospecting targets.The method of weighted characteristic analysis, one kind of quantitative prediction methods of ore-prospecting targets, is researched in the article. A reserve weighted showing the scale of the gold deposit or ore body is added in variable matching matrix in the mathematic model for quantitative prediction of the normal characteristic analysis. Ten gold ore bodies explored in detail are selected in priority for model ore body units. Eight statistical variables are decided. Then reserve weighted matrix, variable weighted, the interrelatednessess of model ore bodies and unknown forecast units are worked out. Finally, optimal ore-prospecting targets are shown. Compared with normal characteristic analysis, weighted characteristic analysis contains generally the more ore-generating-prospecting information, increases efficiently the accuracy and the validity of the prediction of ore-prospecting targets for gold ore.
