In the early Proterozoic eon, Liaohe River group of Liaodong rift distributing widely. The forepassed prospecting practice already proved there're rich non-ferrous metal and noble metal resources, like Cu, Co, Pb, Zn, Au, Ag and so on. Along with the transformation of prospecting thought, prospecting Au and Ag in Qingchengzi Pb-Zn mine periphery have made a great breakthrough. Comparatively, the prospecting Cu-Co and research work in the Liaodong rift area appear lag extremely, especially Co, only evaluate Co ore resources in detailed investigating Cu mine and many appeared as the associated beneficial component. Independent Co ore deposit has not been discovered at present. There're typical deposits as zhoujia Cu-Co deposit and the previous Hua Cu-Co deposit and so on ,and these ore deposits have been sifted during the 70s-80s, and has obtained certain geological reserve, but the mineral resource potential investigation and prospecting synthetic research work has not been carried on in the area.Comparatively speaking, the famous Zambia ~ Zaire Cu mine belt exist in this stratum, but the Cu-Co geological reserves proved up in Liaodong rift valley area is inferior to it by far, obviously there're still enormous Cu and Co resources. The mineralization condition of Liaodong rift is superior, but prospecting is difficult, evaluating mineral resources and forecasting ore deposit localization exactly and effectively utilize advanced theory and technique has become pressing and important research assignment. This research take"consider rift metallogenic theory as direction, analysis for mineralization environment as foundation, the whole investigation as method, the large and middle scale ore deposits as goal"as master line, has analyzed the regional geological background and mineralization geological condition, dissected the typical Cu-Co ore deposit, divided geological prospecting criterion, confirmed prospecting forecast symbol, estimated Cu-Co resources reserves, selected the mineralization perspective area. The main research work and progress shown as follows:Confirm that there're a set of Cu-Co ore construction at the bottom of rift. This formation is divided into two stratum. The lower stratum locate at Liaohe River group Li Eryu group, Cu-Co mineralization mainly exist in shallow granular rocks or intermediate belt from shallow granular rocks to granulite, upside locate at Liao he River group Gao Jiayu group, Cu-Co mineralization locate at the intermediate belt deposit during the dormant period of volcanic eruption, it is equal to the stratified metamorphic tuff in the lithology.According to geological investigation production in recent years and distributing characteristic of mineralization stratum and ore deposit mark off two Cu-Co mineralization belts in south of rift and north, there're Zhou Jia ,Shang Hua and Jian Shanzi three types of Cu-Co ore deposit in mineralization belt. Co ore in South belt mineralizes better obviously than the north. It indicate the direction for seeking for Cu-Co resources in the Liaodong rift .Compare with domestic and foreign large-scale Cu-Co ore deposit mineralization environment in rift belt in ancient Proterozoic era, consider that Liaodong rift valley has the similar large-scale Cu-Co ore deposit mineralization environment initially, the area contain giant Cu-Co resources potential.According to abundance-estimate arithmetic compute latent total resources in forecast area is ECu 53111.6t, ECo 4320.4t.
