Because of currently more general earth magnetotellurics (MT) 3D non-homogeneous problem having not get good resolve, we still do 1D and 2D forward and inversion explanation under most circumstances. So removing non-homogeneous and then do traditional forward and inversion explanation is the most popular and actual research method at present. In this thesis, we deduce the theory from the primary Maxwell equation, then we obtain the characteristics of impedance tensor in Homogeneous Isotropic Medium, Heterogeneous Isotropic Media and 2D isotropic media. On the basis of this, we discuss the purpose of mathematical and physical of the theory of distortion decomposition. We realized GB decomposition method by conjugate gradient algorithm. We detect the error of conjugate gradient algorithm before using it. Eventually, we apply it into the Studying of the south-Tibet structure strike of line 700 and line 800. We obtain result coincides with previous experiment. A computer program is written with Matlab ,succinct and clear,It can also be applied to other similar information systems conveniently. In the realization of these kinds of algorithm, we apply Golden section and Brent searching. In addition, this paper also studies on the effect of distortion parameters. Gain enlarges or reduces the amplitude of tensor impedance. Principal axis direction of Strike is compressed and perpendicular axis is stretched if anisotropic parameter is a positive value. Oppositely, perpendicular axis is compressed ,and Principal axis direction of Strike is stretched. Tensor impedance rotates in clockwise direction under positive twist parameter. Negative shear parameter makes tensor impedance rotating in anti-clockwise direction.
