This thesis uses tornado statistical data and the disaster situation material in Jiangsu province for 50 years, has conducted Jiangsu Province tornado distribution characteristic research and the tornado hazard evaluation. First has analyzed tornado spatial distribution characteristic in Jiangsu. The coast are many, are few depending on the interior, but coastal distribution for south many and north few. The southeast are many, the mid-west are few. The time distribution characteristic indicated that in one year, tornado mainly occurs in the summer in Jiangsu. In one day, it mainly occurs in afternoon. The Jiangsu tornado occurs frequent area to interior along the river and middle coastal area development. Northeast Jiangsu's tornado has the frequency to increase. The southeast drops besides Suzhou.Reaches the classification according to Fuji, has carried on the evaluation and classification to the history tornado event in Jiangsu, and has carried on the analysis to various ranks tornado's frequency distribution. Indicated that the tornado for F0 rank occurs most occupies the total degree 70.3%. Through to the relatively intense tornado and the intense tornado's frequency distribution analysis, obtains that Nantong and the nearby Yancheng and Taizhou are the high incidence zone of intense tornado, also Xuzhou as.Tornado disaster risk evaluation model taken Jiangsu as example has established for the first time in China. The 6 factors included the waters area, the altitude above sea level, the GDP per capita, the population density, the tornado density and tornado comprehensive disaster measure were determined that takes the appraisal index. Then the tornado disaster risk regionalization has been carried on. Indicated that Suzhou, Wuxi, Nantong for the tornado disaster risk area, Changzhou, Nanjing to compare the noble character danger zone, Zhenjiang, Taizhou, Xuzhou, Yancheng, Yangzhou, Lianyungang are highly the moderate wind danger zone, Suqian and Huai An for the low risk area.Principal component analysis has been used to carry on the overall assessment of tornado disaster vulnerability in Jiangsu for the first time in China. The graduation regionalization of each city has been carried on by cluster analysis, and the division is 4 regions. Tornado distribution characteristic research and the disaster risk evaluation and the vulnerability assessment have the vital practical significance to prevention and the resistance tornado disaster, reducing the tornado disaster loss.
