Vanadium dioxide (VO2) inverse opal photonic crystal has adjustable photonic band gap (PBG) in visible light and infrared wave band. It has important foreground at optical switch. In the thesis, the fabrication of VO2 inverse opal photonic crystal by electrodeposition was systemic researched. Some probing research has been done on the electronic and optical performance of VO2 inverse opal photonic crystal.Firstly, the fabrication of polystyrene (PS) colloidal crystal was researched. The thesis have researched the influence of baseplate's surface, environmental temperature and concentration of PS spheres on the assembly orderliness and obtained PS colloidal crystals with high quality.The thesis have compared these ways of precursor, electrophoresis and electrodeposition. The way of electrodeposition was choosed to filled V2O5 into the interstices of PS colloidal crystal. The thesis has systemic researched the technics of electrodepositting V2O5. The influence factors to electrodepositing V2O5 were mostly the proportion of ethanol to deionized water, concentration of VO2+, pH, surfactant, temperature, current and whisk. The thesis have researched these influence factors and obtained good technics of eiectrodepositting V2O5.VO2 was obtained by vacuum annealing V2O5. The influence of the vacuum, anneal temperature and anneal time on vanadium's chemic value have been researched. The thesis have obtained good technics of vacuum anneal, and analysed the causation of NaV6O13 appearing.V2O5 was filled into interstices of PS colloidal crystal by electrodeposition. VO2 inverse opal photonic crystal was obtained after removing the PS colloidal crystal and vacuum annealing the sample. The thesis researched the microcosmic modality of V2O5 (VO2) inverse opal photonic crystal by scanning electron microscopy. Finally, the thesis have done some probing research on the the electronic and optical performance of VO2 inverse opal photonic crystal. The temperature-resistance of curve of VO2 inverse opal was researched. The photonic band gap (PBG) of VO2 inverse opal was analysed by plane wave expansion method.
