Characteristic Classes Of Vector Bundles Over The Product Of Projective Spaces And Bordism Classification Of Involutions

This thesis consists of two chapters.In the first chapter,we determine the total Stiefel-Whitney classes of vector bundles over the product of the complex projective space CP(j)with the quaternionic projective space HP(k).In the second chapter,as an application of the conclusion of the first chapter,we discuss the involutions fixing CP(2m+1)×HP(k)and prove that every involution fixing CP(2m+1)×HP(k)bounds.
