Research On Grey Generating Operation And Its Application To Synthetically Earthquake Prediction

The grey system theory deals with the uncertain problems with little data and scarce information. It extracts the valuable information by creating and developing the partial known information to describe and control the run rules of systems well.Grey modeling is the core of grey system theory and connects grey theory andpractice. Nowadays, the research on the tech- nology of grey generating is a hotspot ingrey modeling. Grey generating is a method of trans- fering the grey process into whiteprocess. It can provide middle information for grey forecast- ting modeling and weakenthe randomness of the raw data. So the grey generating is very im- portant for the theory of grey system modeling. The grey generating impenetrates grey model first midst and last.It is not only the valid tool to excavate and sublime the data, but also the important method to develop and improve the technology of grey modeling.This dissertation aims at the research on the technology of grey generating, and several innovations are obtained, such as theoretical basis, technological methods and practical appli- cations, which is of benefit to giving new thoughts and new methods for high precision grey model. These outcomes have very important significance in developing the theory of grey model and widening the range of grey system theory.In this paper,the application of fuzzy clustering analysis and grey system theory to the prediction of earthquakes studied. And according to a new kind of grey generating a new model for earthquake in the region of Huabei(30—42°N,108—125°E)has been built and the prediction is done.From the tested accuracy and the results calculated by the model,some indexes of the GM mode1,show that the model is reliable.
