Achatina fulica was extracted with different solvents. The crude extracts were tested for antimicrobial activities against 5 species of index bacteria and fungi. The results showed that ethyl acetate was the best polarity solvent in extracting the lipid substances from A.fulica with the strongest antimicrobial activities.Lipid substances from the cephalopodium and the viscera of A.fulica were extracted using ethyl acetate. The extracts were purified with silica gel column chromatography and thin-layer chromatography(TLC).They were examined separately for antibacterial activities against 12 species of bacteria by means of disk agar diffusion method and antifungal activities against 6 species of fungi by means of hypha growth method.Their main chemical components were detected by GC-MS analysis. The results showed that lipid substances from the cephalopodium and the viscera of A.fulica have different antimicrobial activities and different chemical components. The antibacterial activites of serum from A.fulica against 12 species of bacteria and the inhibition of spore germination of 6 species of fungi were preliminary studied. And the lysozyme of serum from A.fulica were studied. This study can offer new source of immunity enzymes and antimicrobial substances. The results showed that serum has antimicrobial activities and inhibit the some spore germination. There are high activities in the lysozyme of serum.
