Earthquake disaster in city is one of the important topics in the field of disaster prevention and reduction. Over the years the research on earthquake disaster simulation model in urban has yielded fruitful achievements. However, these research results are often showed in a complex formula and symbols, it is difficult to meet the application requirements of the grass roots earthquake workers and the government administrators of disaster emergency. On the other hand, with the 21st century the advent of the information age, the needs of visualization technology was pushed to the forefront of the computer application. The development of visualization technology provides technical support for the simulation of earthquake disaster and the show of massive data.Therefore, how to develop an easy-to-use, easy-expanding visual information systems of earthquake disaster simulation in use of visualization technology and according to the specific characteristics of the earthquake disaster of city, has important practical significanceBased on this understanding, in the purpose of the research and development of visual information systems of earthquake disaster simulation in city, this thesis starts from the study on earthquake disaster simulation models and visualization methods and finds the methods to combine the two. In this thesis, on the basis of the analysis of data structure, visualization methods and procedures in geographic information system, Systems Development uses a secondary way. The main research and results in this thesis are as follows:(1)This thesis finishes the establishment of the system model library in use of the earthquake disaster simulation models which are studied previously, the model library uses for the development structure of interface and components, hence, Therefore, the model library has a strong transplanted, not only can be easily used in this system, but also can be applied to other system such as system of assessment of the ravages of the earthquake. (2)These theses study on the visualization analysis methods of the geographic information system and find a new method to extend the geographic information systems visual functions on professional models.(3)This thesis creates the symbol library files of earthquake disaster information systems, through expressing by symbol of the characteristics of the earthquake disaster that makes the system more visual and easy to understand.(4)This thesis creates a reasonable system database which covers not only the needs of the system calculated basal data that is the need of calculation, includes results data of Seismic micro-zoning and exploration of fault, providing the functions of query, modification, update, and other data management.(5)The Construction of the system adopted object-oriented technology which makes the system layered and extensible,At the same time each module of system used interface technology which relates all modules closer together, provide for the revision and expansion of the convenience.(6)The visual information system of earthquake disaster simulation in Weifang is developed successful on basis of the geological and geographical data of Weifang, and this system provides scientific tool for seismic departments in order to know about the conditions of seismic.
