The Coherent Population Trapping phenomenon has drawn more and more attention in last ten years in the time and frequency community. The possibility of using the CPT phenomenon for the implementation of atomic frequency standards was proposed in the last decade, and experiments are currently being carried out on several aboard laboratories.Based on the advantages of CPT and the progress in related semiconductor laser technology, CPT maser frequency standard has been appointed as the candidate for Galile satellite space-positioning system. In this thesis, a theoretical description of the Coherent Population Trapping(CPT) phenomenon is given. Then, based on the model of theΛ-type three-level atomic system, the influence of laser parameters on the CPT signals of rubidium atomic clock is numerical analyzed by semi-classical density matrices approach. In experimental, the optical system of the experimental set-up used is described, especially the generation of the two coherent optical radiations required for the CPT excitation process. Several expriments taken on self-built optical system. At present, domestic research institutes focus on the research of traditional atomic clock, some of on passive CPT quantum frequency standard, funded by related departments. However, research on atomic clock based on CPT maser principle has not been involved yet. As an important part of"Experimental device of new generation CPT maser Atom clock for satellite", work in this thesis has made great achievement and laid the theoretical and experimental basis for the development of CPT maser atom clock project sample for satellite.
