An Exploration On The Establishing Physics Curricular Standard For Application-Orientation Undergraduate Universities

Along with the economic development and elitist education has changed into massification of higher education, the form of higher education school becomes diversified day by day. An application-orientation university is unique in teaching orientation, teaching goals, specialty setting, practice teaching and teachers and so on. It plays an important role in higher education system in our country.The thesis points out the background of the application-orientation university and the difference between application–orientation undergraduate universities and academy or higher vocational education. It expounds the actuality of the application–orientation undergraduate universities and the characteristic in overseas college physics teaching. It also investigates varied demands with the different engineering specialty on physics curriculum and the importance on establishing physics curricular standard for application–orientation undergraduate universities. According to characteristics of different specialties physical teaching was divided into three series. The purpose is to ensure engineering-oriented students to lay the firm physical foundations in finite class time. Our principle is compression classical contents, paying attention to the modern parts and the strengthened application examples. Finally the thesis states the modern education theory which the curriculum standard based on and gives the physics curriculum standard for application–orientation undergraduate universities. This curriculum standard includes property, idea, goal content and request of the curriculum. It gives some suggestion about teaching time, methods, instrument and the ways of evaluation.
