Drinking natural mineral water is a kind of important geological resources.The resources of the drinking natural mineral water are abundance in Guangdong province.Guangdong is one of the earliest province to utilize this resource in China. But it is badly effect the protection and proper utilization of this resource,bucause of the study on distribution and geochemical characteristics was lagged behind the utilization.This paper analyses the relationship between geological conditions in Guangdong province and the drinking natural mineral water, and the distribution of it. It is being discussed that the main types, hydro-geochemistry characteristics and distribution of the drinking natural mineral water in Guangdong Province, and the geological and geographical conditions. Study the typical geological system of drinking natural mineral water region of the Luo Gang rock block in Guangzhou city the Shuang Ta drinking natural mineral water in Shunde city. This study comes to the conclusion as:(1) The distribution of the mineral water is controlled by the Neocathaysian faulted structure system and the great deep faulted structures in the northwest direction. Multiphase tectonic movement and regional magma intrusion is provided a good conditon for the formation of mineral water.(2) Guangdong is at the low latitudes, beside the ocean. It has a typical sub-tropical monsoon climate and plenty of precipitation. The groundwater recharge is abundant.The plentiful supply of precipitation gives an important source of the mineral water.The natural spring has a large waterflow,but evidently changing by the season.(3) The types of drinking natural mineral water, are the single foam-type and other eight combined-types in Guangdong. About 83% of the mineral water found in Guangdong is the single foam-type, 80% of it is H2SiO3. Other 17% is combined types.(4) The enrichment of special components in the groundwater is closely related to geological environment and the abundance of elements in the rocks.(5) The study on the mineral water cases indicates that a typical geological system of mineral water needs abundant groundwater recharge, unique geochemical environment, and hydrogeological conditions for infiltration, flowoff, storage of groundwater. The mineral water of the Luo Gang rock block is the H2SiO3 type. It is formed at Migmatization gneiss diaclase and of Sinian metamorphic rock and biotite granite at the early the second stage of Yanshanian. It is controlled by Guang-Cong faulted structure and Shougou Mountain faulted structure in this region. And it is a kind of the deep circular artesian water in the faulted structure. The mineral water of the Shuang Ta in Shunde city is a geological system of H2SiO3 mineral water. It is formed at the silicified fracture zone of Caledonian period Gneissic granite. It is controlled by the mass fracture and joint zone in north-east direction. It is a kind of the deep circular artesian water in the faulted structure. The formation of the H2SiO3 mineral water is Closely related to the Lithology, tectonic structure and the surrounding geographical environment.
