The experiment equipment of model restricted (EEMR) is one of the important research devices of supercavitation. Many basic problems of supercavitation have been investigated, such as the supercavity forms and the development of ventilated supercavity under certain fluid parameters, the stability and ventilation regality, and the characteristics of lift and resistant force. But the experiment research works are mainly carried through in water tunnel, towed pool and test basins, the problem is that the lowest cavity number, we need, could hardly be achieved through these experiment ways so far. So the model restricted experimental device is necessary and helpful for realizing the lowest cavity number, through it the model traveling velocity exceeds 100m/s, and the shape of the natural supercavity and the ventilated supercavity could be studied with bigger size and more complicated structure model through it. In this sense the model restricted experimental equipment is a key device of supercavitation study. So, designing and building EEMR has important practical and scientific significances. In this article the total design of EEMR has been carried out, using the method of comparing design, based on the study of the cavitations phenomena and EEMR which belongs to INM UNAS. The following parts have been studied: Firstly, the design work of EEMR is carried on. The overall design includes analyzing the characteristics of EEMR, developing design process, choosing the basic parameters and determining the design plan of EEMR.Secondly, carry on the theory analysis and design calculating of the test basins, gas gun, model velocity control and the model braking process according to the designing steps and basic parameter. Finally, determine the total structure of EEMR according to the requirement of the design plan and the result of calculation of design of every part.
