Wave absorber is a kind of materials which absorbs or dies off electromagnetic wave, and switch the electromagnetic energy into heat energy. Wave absorber is used for military purposes, and it called"stealth materials". With the development of modern science and technology, electromagnetic wave is used more and more widely. it improved people's lives, and at the same time, it is also harmful human being's health. So, now the wave absorbing materials also used for commercial safety. The structural absorbing materials include of single layer and multilayer, and the multilayer absorber is very important.This paper used the theories of electromagnetic field and electromagnetic wave to study the method of calculation and optimum design of Wave absorbers, and did optimum design of multilayer absorber with assistant of computer.Firstly, used the theories of electromagnetic field and electromagnetic wave to study the capability of single-layer wave absorber, and deducted the analytical form of electromagnetic parameter matching and the principle of design. Discussed the influence of different electromagnetic parameters and thicknesses of absorber.Secondly, used the theories of electromagnetic field and electromagnetic wave to push over the analytical form of reflectance and refraction coefficient of multilayer absorber, and used the track calculate method to discussed the computational method. Used simplex method to search the optimal electromagnetic parameter.Finally, calculated the absorbing capability of multilayer absorber at different electromagnetic parameters. And discussed the delamination coordinate of it, fixed on the electromagnetic parameters, discussed the problem of electromagnetic parameters Matching, and influence for the whole wave absorb capability.
