Reservoir heterogeneity is the core content of geological studies of the reservoir,it not only affects the reliability of the calculation of oil and gas reserves, but oil field development and the formulation and implementation of the exploitation programme, in particular to improve ultimate recovery of oil field, it is a basic work in reservoir description and reservoir simulation. The macro research of the reservoir heterogeneity will help understand the connectivity situation of Sand, reveal movement laws of oil and water, provide a reliable geological basis for reasonable division of the Department of Development,reasonable choice of injection-production system, production forecast, analysis of dynamic production, the improvement of the performance of oil field development, secondary and tertiary recovery. Heterogeneous research can be divided into three categories: the study Of the heterogeneity in layer, the study Of the heterogeneity between layer and the Plane study Of the heterogeneity. The study found that there are many factors affecting reservoir heterogeneity, and these factors are very complicated,but main reasons can be summed up three points: Structural factors, deposition factors and diagenetic factors. These three points can be summed up the stage of the tectonic evolution, the diversity of deposition pattern and the complexity of diagenesis affect and constrain the heterogeneity. For the deposition of the reservoir,the latter two aspects affect their heterogeneity.Based on the needs of sediment causes and the contrast of single sand, Songliao Basin Cretaceous formation can be divided into four levels of deposition cycles from junior to senior order. The cycle levels of the Putaohua reservoir can be divided by the partition above .The differences between the strata can be analyzed by the way of "cycle contrast, the grade control, differential treatment on different phase " We have devided the formation of the sedimentary facies of Putaohua reservoir analyzed the characterization of lithology and the the causes of reservoir sand . Based on these studies we found out the affection of the heterogeneity of the layer, the non-homogeneous property of the layer and the heterogeneity of the plane .The Structure of PI1-4 layer and the heterogeneity study of sand in the West of the region of South 2 is of great significance for in-depth understanding development of polymer flooding , improving the development effect of polymer flooding and ensuring ustainable development of oil fields.This paper start analyzing the sedimentary characteristics of PI1-4 layers and fine anatomical analysis of the layer by the coring data of the PI1-4 layer's 9 coring wells. On this basis, summing up and establishing deposition model of PI1-4 layer. Studying the PI1-4 layers sand again by applicating contrast method of ranging from thick, same time and the same thick and time under the conditions of crowded Network of wells, obtaining specific evolution of the PI1-4 layer by the combination of research and coring data. Through Profile information of coring,analyzing the plane connectivity relation between the sand and the vertical connectivity relationship between sand to give the corresponding connectivity relation.Based on the above research results Drawing Construction of the sand, and the next step is given for the collective recommendation of maximization measures.
