The recognition and evaluation of low resistivity oil layer is worldwide problem. Its basic electrical property is that oil layer resistivity is low or resistivity discriminates small with contrasting conterminous water layer. This condition bring huge problem to recognition of oil layer and water layer. Since geologic feature and forming mechanism of low resistivity oil layer is different.It brings large problem to qualitative examination and quantitative assessment.The article analyses the main genesis and four kind relationship of low resistivity in X plot of Tertiary by combining test and geologic information on base of complex pore structure high immobile water low resistivity oil layer and make forming mechanism of the plot clear. The research find main genesis low resistivity is created by low reservoir structure amplitude;complex pore structure, high immobile water content and brine mud invasion in the Tertiary of X plot. The article builds the model which is correlated with physical property parameter log response and uses it compare some core holes of the plot and acquires good effect. The article builds a suit of appliance technique which can identify and evaluate low resistivity oil layer and research low resistivity reservoir .distributing rule, at the same time it rich the theory of complex pore structure high immobile water Low resistivity oil layer interpretation.
