Double Layer Potential Method For The Spontaneous Well-logging

A new method to solve the problem related to the Spontaneous Well-logging is presented in this paper. The double layer potential is used to remove the jumps of spontaneous potential on every segment of the interface between formations with different resistivity. Thus the compatibility condition is satisfied and the Finite Element Method can be directly used. In the numerical sim-ulation,the double layer potential of simple integral form is efficiently used to accumulate the computation speed.
