According to the angle's relation of joint and slope, it can be divided into three parts: horizontal, reversal incline and bedding slope. Among these, the bedding slope is most likely to slide, although a large number of researches have been made, but its theory needs to be further developed for the question's complexity. Some important factors are always neglected in analysis. And some researches are based on a scheduled failure medol, this will improve the ability of resist failure in a certain extent. So there are some difference between the calculate result and the fact.①According to the angle's relation of joint and slope, Therefore, this paper makes a research of the stability of bedding stratified rock slope. At first, the mechanical model of joint is discussed, and the constitutive relation of the rough joint, especially the bolt-supported joint, is given. Then bedding slide of bedding stratified rock slope is studied adopting limit equilibrium method, and a formula of stability is brought forward.②Presents the test results of specimens under saturation, respectively, on the MTS obtained to determine the mechanical properties of various rock masses constituting sliding body, an O.Mohr circlewas graphed according to values of the triaxial strain and confining stress, failure theory and strength parameters; Also the results projected the every path deformation of rock. Then, it obtained the slope stability. ⑤On the basis of geological features of Gaobianpo cutting excavation slope, this paper presents a comprehensive monitoring scheme including piles movement monitoring as well as surface monitoring, aiming to forecast possible catastrophe. The field application shows this monitoring system is practicable;⑥Meixiba slop is very classic and large, also have several layers. If the slop slided, it cause disaster. In paper, researched geological features of slop and analysis measuring information and stability, so, get controling methods. Measuring and simulating results accord wlth well.A theory of evaluating the stability of bedding stratified rock slope is preliminary established by this research, which will make a contribution to further understand of its failure mechanism, improve feasibility and reliability of its analysis method, provide the fundamental theory on this slope's prevention and cure.
