With the increasing shortage of energy,around the world most countrys input more exploration and research on unconventional energy. Source Contacting Gas as a potential unconventional energy is gradually being of great importance. The world has been found the Souce Contacting Gas reservoir mainly accumulate in the foreland basin and depression basin.Most of the Source Contacting Gas accumulation theorys is mainly directed against these two basins, however,the Source Contacting Gas reservoir has been neglected in the eastern part of China rifted basin.Eastern sag, Liaohe has a complex accumulation conditions, the effective source rocks in the lithology is a deep lake-semi-deep lacustrine mudstone, in some areas of the marsh folder with thickness ranging from coal measure strata.Department of the layer, the total development of the eastern sag have Eogene S3, S1+2, Dongying group of three sets of source rocks. The thickness of source rocks in different regions there is a big difference,in the thickness of depression at both ends, and the middle thin, it looks like a "dumbbell-shaped". Sandstone in S3 as a result of deep burial lead the majority of sandstone porosity<12%, permeability<0.1md, and tight sandstone with large-scale hydrocarbon source rocks in direct contact. It provides good conditions for Source Contacting Gas accumulation.To analysis the Source Contacting Gas accumulation characteristics in Eastern sag ,Liaohe, and contrast with other basins. To establish Sorce Contacting Gas accumulation model: a single Source Contacting Gas reservoir is smaller, thinner single-layer thickness, in Eastern sag ,Liaohe.But frequently interbedded with shale distribution, so the entire Eastern sag is larger scale of Source Contacting Gas reservoir, rich in gas resources.The main methods to identify Source Contacting Gas are logging abnormal curve,drilling and logging,integrated test and so on.The paper use the logging abnormal curve to identify Source Contacting Gas,and applied into eastern sag,Liaohe,and study of Source Contacting Gas accumulation in this area. Containing a different gas in the entire hydrocarbon gas shown by the curve shape is different, as reflected in a completely different gas types. From the form of hydrocarbon-curve, it can generally be divided into 4 categories: box, funnel-shaped, bell-shaped and peace-straight, the bell-shaped curve has a low curve at the top and high curve at the bottom,it is the typical type of Source Contacting Gas. This method only need to determine the gas accumulate at the bottom of tight sandstone,it can quickly and efficiently identify the type of Source Contacting Gas reservoir, play the role of "single well done" prediction. This method be applied in the eastern sag, Liaohe, have found a number of Sorce Contacting Gas reservoir.It play a positive role for unconventional natural gas exploration in oilfield Liaohe.To analysis the Source Contacting Gas accumulation characteristics in Eastern sag ,Liaohe, and contrast with other basins ,finally establish Source Contacting Gas accumulation model. The Source Contacting Gas main develep in S3 and S1+2, the depth between 2500-3500m.In plane the Source Contacting Gas distribute along the center of the entire sag as ribbon, which in the north and south ends it distribute widely, narrow at the intermediate,look like a "dumbbell-shaped." A single Source Contacting Gas reservoir is smaller, thinner single-layer thickness, in Eastern sag ,Liaohe.But frequently interbedded distribution with shale lead the entire eastern sag has larger scale of Source Contacting Gas reservoir, rich in gas resources. Use the effective reservoir volume statistics to calculate the resources in eastern sag,Liaohe, estimate the Source Contacting Gas total resources is 1300.13×108m3.
