| In recent years, the Lattice Boltzmann (LB) method develops rapidly. Due to its microscopic particle backgrounds, it has many special advantages over traditional numerical methods. Therefore, LB method has been applied to many fields of hydrodynamics. Presently, the applications of LB method have achieved great success in turbulent flows, porous flow, multiphase flow, reaction and combustion systems, and magneto hydrodynamics, besides common hydrodynamics problems.LB model is also applied to simulating flows around buildings. In this paper, the process of a counter-clockwise eddy in the street canyon is simulated. This result effects the distribution of pollutant concentration in street canyon. Comparison with experimental data from the literature indicates that the model gives accurate results.In this paper, the LB model is also applied to simulating pollutant concentration in the street canyon. A new LB model is constituted to simulating the flow patterns and pollutant concentration in the street canyon. And it is applied to simulating the flow patterns and pollutant concentration in different wind speeds and different buildings. The calculation indicates this method can be applied to simulating the flow patterns and pollutant concentration in street canyon. |
