Along with the development of expressway building, with the increase of traffic arteries, the quality of highway construction problems are more and more aroused highway workers'attention. The pavement life was not up to standard, destruction continues some time in the early stage, and it is one of the main reasons that the degree of compaction is not enough. But traditional measuring methods such as sand cone replacement method, nuclear instrument method and circle cutter method etc. have disadvantages such as waste of time and man power, high destructiveness and interfere construction. So it's very important to design the equipment which can checks the construction quality of subgrade continuously and exactly, there will be great practical significance in monitoring the quality of soil compaction.With the development of the modern data communication technique, computer technique, electronics, they're combined with GPS technique, extensively applied in each aspect of the engineering realm. In addition to the traditional surveying engineering, the GPS can still play an important role in the engineering construction. Therefore, study the compaction quality surveying system such as GPS is combined with road roller, which can provided with many advantages such as continuous, accurate, quickly, it will be of practical significance to detect roadbed quality timely.This thesis introduces the vibratory roller's principle of work and traditional methods of expressway subgrade construction quality control firstly. By analysis the traditional detecting methods of degree of compaction,it points out the deficiency of traditional method, On the basis of the superiority in the moving measuring technique of GPS-RTK, provides a theory base for the various index sign of control quality such as: track, speed, times of compaction, leveling, thickness and earthwork checks. Subsequently, by using engineering example—subgrade construction project of highway-ring around Yuncheng , Shanxi province, we use GPS-RTK to collect data, and handle analysis by software, make use of traditional compaction degree derivation formula and statistical method , built the mathematic model ,the result shows that the compaction degree changes with the thickness, wet density,dry density and moisture ,it provided the possibility to obtain compaction degree in real time , also evaluate the compaction degree's precision, the model's accuracy and reliability are proved.The research results have the value of application to determine the compaction quality of roadbed construction rapidly without destructiveness.Using GPS real-time supervisory system for roller compaction, we can real time monitoring work area, roller's speed and track, earthwork, compaction degree,and so on. Thus,our staff can grasp compacting process, prevent to leak, the problems of uncompaction and overpressure are solved.
