Magnetotelluric(MT) has reach some developments in deep-structure studies of crust and upper-mantle, gas and petroleum exploration, hot-water and mineral exploration. But some problems are ignored. For example, in actual work how to set measurement point, how long is the length profile, how to set the density of frequency points. The paper solved ignored problem through ideal electric model's MT forward and inversion simulation and gets some conclusion to improve the MT efficiency.In the studies, the paper discussed the influence on exploration effect in the density of measurement points, the length profile, and the density of frequency points through designing the model, changing the parameter, comparing and analyzing the inversion conclusion.In the selection of the density of measurement points we designed some models. We designed the different measurement point number: five, nine, eighteen, thirty-six. The distance between measurement points is twenty-four km, twelve km, six km, and three km.So we get the relationship between the density of measurement points and inversion accuracy. In the study of the length of the profile, the length of the profile is set 12km, 30km, 51km, 105km. In this section the mesh division is constant. The density of frequency point is also constant. So we get the important conclusion.In the study of the density of frequency points, The density of frequency points is set 8, 16, 31.in this set, the mesh division is constant, the distance of measurement points is constant 3km, the length of the profile is constant. We analyses the inversion effects. So we get the instructive conclusion.In a word, the paper researched the relationship between inversion accuracy and the density of measurement points, the length profile, and the density of frequency points. The paper gets a series of MT technologic flow. In the actual work, we can use this work program to pursue our work and reach good exploration effect.
