With the wide application and improvement of information processing technology, computer science and robotic technology, and many man-made systems occur in the domains of communication, manufacturing, transportation and military commanding, which propels the study of Discrete Event Dynamic System theory. Such theory reflects the internal operating law within various man-made systems. Along with the deepening of the study, the importance and challenge of studying such kind of hybrid system has been recognized, which composes of both discrete events dynamic subsystem and continue dynamic subsystem and has characteristics of the two different systems and moreover the two sorts of subsystem have strong bindings. As both discrete and continue system theory have their own unique mathematical approaches and tools, such approaches and tools are inadequate for the hybrid system. The hybrid theory is the novel approach and tool which is fit for the analysis of the characteristics of discrete and continue system together.Till now a great deal of achievement has been gained and verified in real hybrid system with better performance.Power electronic equipment,as a typical hybrid system, has been widely and deeply studied. While its controlling strategy has been formalized after many years application in industry,it recalls change and creation. It seems a great challenge but a reasonable and obvious trend to apply the hybrid theory in controlling power electronic equipment. This dissertation mainly dwells on application of the hybrid theory on the power electronic equipment, proposing a novel new approach to design the controller for the power electronic equipment.Meanwhile it provides proper references to the engineering application of the hybrid system theory. The main contributions of this dissertation are as follows:(1) The hybrid modeling and stability analysis of power electronic system. The power electronic system is modeled in details in many sub-state-spaces which is got by dividing a state-space into according to the states of power switches.Based on energy-shaping method and port-controlled Hamiltonian(PCH) theory, the hybrid model is established. And with the aid of this hybrid model and the Lyapunov stability theory, the close-loop stability of the power electronics system is proved.(2) The hybrid modeling of such DC/DC power converters as the one-input-one-output BUCK converter and the one-input-two-output BOOST converter and then their hybrid controllers. The good performance of hybrid theory is verified in comparison to normal PI controller through simulation.(3) The hybrid input current predictive control of four-quad AC/DC converter. This controller just predicts the value of the input current, and choose the sub-modes of the four-quad AC/DC converter by means of modulating, which adequately meets the performance requirements of the converter. The validity of the controller is verified through the detailed simulation of the whole operation stages of the converter.(4) The carry-out of a hybrid controller is discussed. And then the model predictive controller in practical use is troposed. At the end of this dissertation, the research work of this thesis is summarized, and prospects for further research work are outlined.
