Ulva pertusa Kjellm is widely distributed in China's inter-tidal waters of the large marine algae, and it has a two-tier cell, with different size holes. It is rich in nutrients such as proteins, polysaccharides, lipids, vitamins, inorganic elements, and it has high application value in food, medicine, environmental protection. With the in-depth study, the value of U. pertusa was being recognized increasingly. This paper has studied elaborately on the total fat content and fatty acid composition of U. pertusa. The results showed that the total fat content of U. pertusa was only about 1%, of which many of fatty acids were polyunsaturated fatty acids. This paper has studied the effects of IAA and NAA on the growth, chlorophyll and protein content of U. pertusa under the room temperature of 22℃and continual lighting of 40μE·s-1·m-2. The results showed that different concentrations (0.01 to 10.00mg·L-1) had different degree effects. 0.01 ~ 3.00mg·L-1 of IAA and NAA had promotive effects on the growth, chlorophyll and protein content of U. pertusa, in which 0.10 mg·L-1 of the NAA, 1.00mg·L-1 of the IAA had the best promotion effect. It was depressant effect or even killed with increasing the NAA, IAAconcentration.
