The concepts of chaos, spatiotemporal chaos, and chaos synchronization are stated in the paper, meanwhile, the significance together with the methods of chaos synchronization is also commented. Furthermore a synchronization controller is proposed using coupling method, the coupling intension is achieved via Lyapunov stability theory, and synchronization between two chaotic systems is realized by unilateral and bilateral coupling method respectively. Further research shows that synchronization between two chaotic systems can also be realized just through choosing proportion parameters correctly according to Lyapunov stability theory, and Matlab can be used to verify the efficiency of the methods mentioned above. On the basis of the research on projective synchronization, a new method is proposed to realize projective synchronization in this paper, that is projective synchronization based on rotation transformation. Synchronization controller is designed according to rotation transformation theory and Lyapunov stability theory to realize synchronization between chaotic systems with the same structure or different structures. The method not only helps to realize projective synchronization between two chaotic systems, but also helps to meet certain rotation relations between the systems. Simulation results show that the method is convenient and effective. Considering that most practical systems in nature are described by spatiotemporal chaos, and spatiotemporal chaos is more potential in physics, communications, automatic control and other fields than in temporal chaos, the method is extended to spatiotemporal chaos in the article. Projective synchronization between chaotic systems with the same structure is realized. Simulation results show that the method is also effective in spatiotemporal chaos synchronization.
