Nonlinear optics is one of the most active disciplinary fields in modern science. The research on photorefractive optics,which is a branch of nonlinear optics,was expanded from body to surface.The study of photorefractive nonlinear surface waves links the nonlinear optics domain on developing surface science tightly.At home and abroad,the studies of photorefractive nonlinear surface waves focus mostly on photorefractive nonlinear surface waves on diffusion mechanism and on diffusion-drift mechanism.Therein,the studies of photorefractive nonlinear surface waves on diffusion-drift mechanism are less.Till now,a mature theory has not been formed yet.The photorefractive nonlinear surface wave on photovoltaic mechanism is still under preliminary research.The most of the studies are still in the stage of theory. Comparatively speaking,the experimental observations of photorefractive nonlinear surface waves are rare.And the application technology is to be developed.In this thesis,by studies on foundation of generation mechanism of photorefractive nonlinear surface waves,the studies at home and abroad were classified and concluded according to these three generation mechanism.The establishments of nonlinear Schrodinger equations of photorefractive nonlinear surface waves based on soliton self-bending dynamic process were mainly studied.The equations of photorefractive nonlinear surface waves on diffusion mechanism and on diffusion-drift mechanism were solved,respectively.Finally,exact solutions of them were obtained and analysised. Used the exact solutions and the physical and optical parameters of SBN crystal,the graghs of photorefractive nonlinear surface waves and analysised these graphs were figured.
