In this paper, we consider a class of singular or degenerate equationswhere a,b∈R, n > 2, A∈R,α> 0,θ> 0 and p =(?). In various range of the parameters involved, we obtain both results of existence and nonexistence of positive solutions by combing the Mountain Pass Lemma, the Pohozeav-type identity, Kelvin transform, the methods of moving planes and moving spheres and classical arguments on ODE's.
