With the economic globalization, resources informatization, and the high relevancy between knowledge and information in the 21st century, the development of society demands a higher standard in the comprehensive ability of learners and talent training, which make people survey the ways of learning and teaching knowledge. College physics, as the basis course of science and engineering, is also facing serious challenges, how to improve teaching methods and teaching quality of the college physics become a very serious problem for college physics teachers. Case Teaching as an effective teaching methods has attracted people's concern, for it can fully mobilize the enthusiasm and initiative of students, improve the comprehensive quality of students and enhance students'capacity to integrate theory with practice. So it is regarded as an effective way to solve the problem of college physics teaching.In this paper, on the basis of a study about case teaching, start with the current status of the Teaching of College Physics, combine the steps of case teaching and action research process and then supplemented by a questionnaire survey, interviews and other educational scientific research methods, by these we apply case teaching to the university physical education, and do empirical research and evaluation to the results. In the article, a in-depth study of the theoretical basis and its implementation process has been done to case teaching, basing on the teaching object and content, we select teaching examples carefully, that is the "project–action-observe- reflect-found the problem-problem-solving, we discussed and analysed in detail about the overall framework of action research on college physics case teaching. Through interviews, questionnaire survey, we get a detailed statistical analysis and data about the performance teaching and learning. Test results show that the case teaching is a good method for university physics teaching, it is a effective form of teaching, which provides more opportunities for students to learning and innovation.In the teaching of College physics, the implementation of the case teaching can not only enhance students'interest and collaborative ability, but also is helpful in communication and interaction between the teachers and students, makes teacher learn more about his students. Through the implementation of case teaching, it can play an active role in developing students'ability of analysis, problem solving, cooperation and exchange, information literacy, the actual ability to do something, and it can also facilitate the student to understand and grasp the points and concepts of college physics.
