Zhuanghai area,which is surrounded by hydrocarbon generation Depressions, is rich in Hydrocabon resources. The Guantao Formation of Neogene is one of the main oil-bearing series.and the reservoir is alluvial-fluvial facies reservoir. It is necessary to establish corresponding sequence stratigraphy research method for fluvial facies reservoir evaluation and prediction.This paper presents the identification and correlation of sequence for Neogene in Zhuanghai area by using high-resoluton sequence stratigraphy.Using core data (geological data), well logging data, seismic data, and so on, the base-level cycles are identified. The Guantao Farmation can be divided into one long-term base-level cycle and five medium-level cycles. On the base of identification and correlation of base-level cycles, sequence stratigraphic framework for Zhuanghai area, as soon as.three sequence stratigraphy models are established. Acording to the analysis of sedimentary facies, the evolution of depositional system is clear, and depositional models of sequence stratigraphy are established.There are devepopment three styles of sedimentary system, they are braided stream, low sinuosity stream and meandering stream for Neogene in Zhuanghai area.The reservoir conditions is analysed, such as oil generation, reservoir, cap, trap, migration, conservastion and so on, the primary reservoir styles in Zhuanghai area are structural and lithologic reservoir. The reservoir is mainly controlled by structural, lithologic, cap and trap, fault ,and so on. Lastly, the paper presents exploration targets on the base of the law of oil-gas migration and accumulation.
