The sea bottom multiple and interbed multiple from strong reflection interface developed greatly due to shallow South Yellow Sea,which commixed with effective wave,resulting in strong energy multiple covering up the weak effective wave of Upper Tertiary,which cause great difficulties on processing and interpretation of the seismic data. We must study clearly the reasons of the multiples, and take a better method to suppress the stubborn multiples.Seismic numerical simulations is an effective aid for studying seismic data ac-quisition,processing and interpretation. And is also an effective way to reduce costs,which result in huge econmic benefits.Assuming that the geological conditions underground,including the geometry of geological bodies,medium speed,density is known,and applying the kinematics and the dynamics of the seismic waves to calcu-late the seismic response of the geological model,which is called forward modeling calculation.Using finite-difference numerical simulation of acoustic wave to simulate the geological model, which was built by combining with the existing drilling information and geophysical characteristics of the typical formation of the work area.From analy-sis the characteristics of the ringing,ghost,interbed multiples and other types of multi-ples on the simulated seismogram,which can help us do better on the seismic proc-essing and interpretation.From the single shot record of the forward modeling seismic data,we can see ringing and ghost behind the primary reflection ,which increased seismic wave dura-tion, reducing the resolution of seismic records.There are many softwares can be used to suppress the multiple,but because of the complexity of the South Yellow Sea,so it is very difficult to attenuation multiples with only one means. Predictive deconvolution can effectively suppress ringing and ghost.Through f - k transform,Ï„- p transform and Radon transform to suppress long path multiple and interbed multiple,we can see Radon transform received the best result.For the actual seismic data processing,we take predictive deconvolution and Radon transform together to supress the South Yellow Sea multiples,and obtained satisfactory results.
